I’ve been looking at using Zurb Foundation’s Interchange for a while. Interchange uses media queries to load content that is appropriate for different users’ browsers. I’ve been wanting to serve up images at an appropriate resolution for a user’s device, and ideally I want this to happen automatically when I insert images into posts within WordPress.
This is a base theme to start your own WordPress theme utilising the marvellousness of Zurb’s Foundation 5. I’ve tried to keep the file structure as simple as possible, so you’ll want to build extra functionality into your theme, rather than spend time stripping useless stuff out. Continue reading

If you’ve downloaded a WordPress theme pack from a website such as this one, and want to install it on your site, please carry out the following steps:
- Navigate to your WordPress admin page. It’ll probably be located at http://yoursitename.com/wp-admin
- Click Appearance in the left-hand menu bar
- Click Install Themes tab at the top of the Appearance page
- Click Upload (found just underneath the Install Themes tab header)
- Click Choose File.
- Then navigate to and select the file you just downloaded.
- Click Install Now.
In developing the garethcooper.com 2012/13 wordpress theme, I’m currently working on improving the attachment pages for images (images.php). I want to use as much of the meta data that’s stored with the image as possible, especially as I spend a while making sure I’ve titled, tagged and located before exporting any photos from Lightroom.
